Submission Guidelines
Paper submission following the IEEE Paper Template (available here) will be possible through Easychair. All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers (6-8 pages) with research outcomes especially focused on practical experimentation
- Short contributions (4-6 pages), including position text and presentations of work in progress
Four (4) accepted papers will be selected by the Programme Committee for oral presentation, and the rest will be put up for poster presentation
Topics of Interest
Topics of interest of the workshop include, but are not limited to:
- Artificial sensing and perception for forestry robotics:
- Multisensory systems and fusion (LIDAR, depth cameras, multispectral imaging, etc.)
- Dynamic tracking of relevant entities in forestry environments
- Neural networks and deep learning approaches (e.g. semantic mapping)
- Localization and Mapping
- Outdoor autonomous navigation, traversability and locomotion of UGVs and/or UAVs for forestry and agriculture
- Mapping and localization in GPS-deprived areas
- Multi-Robot systems: coordination, formation control, cooperative perception, and exploration in the field
- Planning and decision-making architectures for field robotics under high uncertainty
- Autonomous ground machines and UAVs for forestry and agriculture
- Self-adaptation and learning in forestry environments
- Reasoning and planning for forestry operations
- Human-Robot interaction and safe co-operation for forestry and agriculture
- Ethical, legal, societal, economic and safety aspects of autonomous forestry machinery operation and development
